Unity in Diversity - Behind the Artwork

Shame. Guilt. Temptation. Suffering. Brokenness. Doubt ... all of this and many more are a result of sin. When we recognize that this is part of our identity, our first response might be to hide it all away, especially when we come before Jesus.

But, no! We don't need to be perfect before God. Because of His love for us, Jesus Christ died on the cross for us! Not only that, He has defeated the power of sin for us in His resurrection!

Over the next few months, we'll be exploring the different themes in 1 Corinthians, taking a look at what the gospel response to the different life problems we face. It's going to be interesting and can get uncomfortable at times. But whatever identity we come to God with (our shame, regret, doubt, etc.), God has already dealt with it. Because of what Christ did on the cross, we are now united in the diversity of our brokenness — secure in His family (His kingdom) through the gospel.
